What to Expect

This hands-on class taught by our Dietitian and Lactation Consultant team,  walks you through the basics of breastfeeding — from latch and positioning to what those first few days with baby actually look like. You’ll learn how to recognize hunger cues, what “normal” newborn feeding patterns really mean, how to troubleshoot common early challenges before they turn into stress.

Why You Need It

Most of what we know about breastfeeding, we learn while we’re doing it — usually sleep-deprived, three days postpartum, and googling at 2am. This workshop gets you the real information ahead of time, from providers who actually specialize in lactation, so you’re walking into those early weeks prepared instead of scrambling. It’s the kind of prep that makes the difference between a rough first week and a confident one.

The workshop is covered by insurance for most plans. Spots fill quickly — reserve your seat today! 🗓️

What Families Say

“Jaren is absolutely fabulous, so personable, patient, and knowledgeable. She really assisted me in my breast-feeding journey. My son was having difficulty latching and we were able to get him on track! Couldn’t recommend her and her practice more.”

~ J.E.

“We saw Crystal for a bottle feeding consult when we were at our wits’ end with a sudden bottle aversion, and she identified the issue right away. When another regression came along a couple of months later, she pinpointed it just as quickly. She’s a great listener, warm and compassionate, and clearly excellent at what she does.”

~ L.

“Tracy was so caring, supportive, and helpful throughout my personal journey. She took the time to understand my individual needs and truly helped me work toward my specific goals. I’m so grateful for her guidance and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for breastfeeding support.”

Nutrition counseling

Nutrition counseling is self-pay, with a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. FSA/HSA eligible. If you’re breastfeeding or have feeding questions, our dietitian-IBCLCs can cover your nutrition during an insurance-covered lactation visit.

Lactation self-pay: $210 for a 60-minute initial visit and $160 for follow-up visits, plus a travel fee for home visits. FSA/HSA eligible, and we provide superbills.

With insurance: plans typically cover 6–9 consultations, depending on your plan. We verify your benefits when you book.

Follow up visits are essential to providing support and resolution of feeding challenges. After our initial visit we will discuss when to schedule a follow up visit based on our care plan.

Our team offers non judgemental support for your feeding goals and encourage parents to consider their mental and physical health as part of our goals. We believe there is no one “right” way to feed your baby and discuss inclusive feeding options such as pumping, bottle feeding and combination feeding.
