Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
For nutrition consultations: We are not billing insurance directly at this time, however we encourage calling your insurance provider to request reimbursement for out of network nutrition therapy.
We can provide you with a “superbill.” You can submit this medical receipt to your insurance provider and seek reimbursement depending on your providers out of network benefits.
If you are seeking care for an eating disorder, you can request a diagnostic code from your mental health clinician or physician and I will bill this on your superbill.

What are your session fees and how long are sessions?
Nutrition Consultations: Initial sessions are 60 minutes and billed at $210 and follow up sessions are 45 minutes and billed at $170 for non package sessions. We do offer a limited number of reduced fee schedules for students and families with limited resources.
How often do we meet and for how long?
Nutrition Consultations: Given nutrition therapy is not a linear course, I do not offer prescriptive packages. I do recommend we schedule a weekly session for the first 3-4 meetings while beginning our work to explore behavior change and create intentional goals. Oftentimes after these first few sessions we will move to an every other week cadence for meetings however this is entirely dependent on you and your desired pace and capacity. I view this discussion as a collaborative choice to help support you in making changes at your pace with support and guidance along the way. At our first visit we may set an initial goal and through frequent follow up meetings we will incorporate sustainable behavior changes you can work with in between sessions that you can carry with you. For more acute eating disorder concerns I recommend weekly follow up sessions in conjunction with your therapist and medical doctor.
Do you give meal plans?
Nutrition Consultations: At our first visit we will discuss your history, current needs and future goals. This will help provide us with information about how much structure from a meal plan will be helpful for our work. Many times a meal plan can be a helpful guide in relearning intuitive eating and during eating disorder recovery can be an important tool. However, I do emphasize that my goal is to help you move away from external guidelines such as meal plans, calories, macros etc and help you to trust your body. I am familiar with a variety of planning approaches such as exchanges, the plate model, carbohydrate counts so we can customize your plan.
Do you only work with women?
I work with teens ages 13 years old and up, young adults and adults in my nutrition practice.
What is it like to be in a session with you?
Nutrition consultations: Nutrition therapy is a process specialized unique to dietitians trained in a specialized approach to working with those who suffer from eating disorders and disordered eating. You do not have to have an eating disorder in order to benefit from this approach!
Nutrition therapy sessions often mirror a combination of a therapy session in which there is plenty of space for exploring thoughts, feelings and processing but more specifically around experiences with food, eating and your body. I truly believe in safe connection as a ground place for thinking about change. I am not a therapist however I use a therapeutic approach that is trauma informed to allow for safety when discussing vulnerable issues around food and body image. As a dietitian, I am trained in providing medical nutrition therapy and will share evidenced based recommendations around your physical needs.
What is your approach?
Nutrition consultations: I use a combination of therapeutic modalities alongside nutrition science to help you move towards shifts you would like to see in your life and relationship with food. I have specialized training in using an Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Most importantly, I believe in being a radically open human and helping you to live in alignment with your true essence and values to help heal your relationship with food and body.
